Flex Rates
Valid from 01 April 2025 to 31
March 2026
Flex Rates allows us to offer flexible pricing, which gives you the opportunity to secure the best possible rental rate. The Flex Rates are based on a very simple system of supply and demand. So when there are a large number of vehicles available for hire from a particular branch then the rental rate is lower.
This way you can benefit from the lower rates offered. Generally, this means that the earlier you book the cheaper the rate! There will also be great Standby Rates! |

Bunk Campers provides comprehensive insurance and public liability insurance (the
latter of which is subject to a limit of £ 5 million / € 5 million) through a third-party insurer.
The Vehicle is insured only for damage to the Vehicle itself (excluding damage to
windows, mirrors, tyres, the underside of the vehicle, and any part of the vehicle over
6ft/182cm from the ground) and for damage to third-party property. This insurance does
not cover personal insurance for the Guest (including death or bodily injury to the Guest
or Driver) or any personal belongings. Bunk Campers strongly recommends that Guest takes out its own personal travel
insurance.
Only persons named on the Rental Agreement are insured to drive the vehicle. Please note that no insurance cover (including LRO) is offered for overhead damage, any damaged deemed as gross negligence, or any
internal damages therefore the hirer accepts fully liability for these which is in addition to the standard vehicle excess should that apply. Windscreens and /or tyre damage is not covered by the standard vehicle insurance and
therefore excess, however Liability Reduction Option (LRO) does cover these items, (conditions apply), please see here for further details.
Bunk Campers will be responsible should damage to personal possessions or bodily injury occur (including death) as a result of proven gross negligence on Bunk Campers’s part i.e. our actions or failure to act. Bunk Campers will not be responsible for any loss which is a side effect of the main loss e.g. loss of profits or opportunity. This is separate from the vehicle insurance provided.
Other driver related conditions apply - as per full term and conditions.
For peace of mind while on the road, we offer a range of Protection Options for our
guests. The amount payable for each Protection Option is based on the number of
nights of hire for the minimum rental period. The maximum charge for Protection
Options is 15 nights per rental segment.
Applies in respect of first incident and or claim, not entire Rental duration. Once an accident has occurred LRO cannot be restarted and standard insurance terms will apply. Incident must be reported to Bunk Campers within 24 hours otherwise LRO cover will not apply.
Should the Terms and Conditions not be adhered to, the LRO will be void and the customer will be liable in full for all costs and damages. Please note that the LRO is completely optional and can be decided upon collection
of your vehicle. After the hire has commenced, LRO cannot be taken out.
Please note: the following are not covered by insurance, security deposit or liability
reduction options. For these exceptions, the hirer/guest accepts full liability in
addition to any excess or security deposit that applies.
- Damage caused to the vehicle where the terms of the Rental Contract have
been breached.
- Any damage or loss caused by a negligent act/For damage or loss intentionally
caused by the guest.
- Mechanical problems E.g., clutch/gearbox due to driver negligence
- Replacement or repair of aerials, glass or wheels except Windscreen, Mirrors &
Tyre Protection has been purchased, where applicable
- Damage caused due to the use of incorrect or contaminated fuel
- Missing wheel trims, tools, or spares
- For damage caused by neglecting proper operating procedures, e.g. incorrect
fuel type and quality, ignoring oil or coolant levels, air pressure
- Damage to the underbody of the vehicle and to the roof, (which includes any
part of the vehicle 6ft/182cm from the ground), is deemed as gross negligence.
- The theft of the vehicle if the keys are left in the ignition or in or on the vehicle
whilst unoccupied, in which event the hirer shall be held fully responsible for a
replacement vehicle.
- Damage caused to windscreen, mirrors and/or tyre damage unless
Windscreen, Mirror and Tyre Protection has been purchased and applies.
- For damage caused by the incorrect use of snow chains
- Damage caused to the vehicle when using the vehicle in contravention of any
legislation or regulation controlling motor vehicles.
- Damage caused by freezing/overheating due to travelling between
temperature extremes without taking the necessary precautions to protect the
vehicle’s systems.
- Damage to and associated costs with recovery of a bogged vehicle
- Damage caused due to a single vehicle roll over.
A £ 50 / € 60 administration fee will be applied to all loss or damages.
All drivers must be aware of the (unusual) height of the motorhome and are responsible for all damage if driven under an obstruction that is too low for it to clear – the obvious examples are low bridges and height restrictions into car parks etc. In this event neither the Basic Insurance nor Collision Damage Waiver will apply and the hirer will be responsible for the repair of all damages. "Overhead damage" is deemed as any damage sustained to any part of the vehicle, its equipment and or any third party property which occurs above 6 feet (1.83 metres) in height measured from the ground upwards.
The security deposit / insurance excess is authorised to the hirer's debit or credit
card on arrival. In the event of any loss or damage the hirer is liable for up to the
value of this amount.
The security deposit may be used to fund any loss or damage to equipment,
fixtures, fittings, windows, tyres or negligent damage to the vehicle. Security
deposits are held/charged in the local currency of the branch. Guests should allow
up to 28 days for the security deposit to be released back into their account. In the
event of an insurance claim, regardless of fault, the security deposit will be retained
until the insurers have settled the claim. Please note, this can be a lengthy process
and is out of Bunk Campers control.
Please note, we operate 3D secure payments. This requires our guests to have the
phone/device (including SIM card) that is linked to their banking app in order to
confirm the hold transaction for the security deposit. If not already set up, we
suggest that our guests download & set this up on their device prior to collection,
failure to do this transaction will result in Bunk Campers being unable to
release the vehicle.
Should a guest hold a card reader with their bank, it is suggested this is bought
along with the PIN to ensure the security deposit can be authorised through their
device in branch. Person paying deposit needs to be present.
For security reasons, Bunk Campers will only accept credit cards or debit cards
for rental charges paid on motorhome pickup or drop-off. Cash payments will not
be accepted at rental branches. The Security deposit on the motorhome is only
payable at pickup. We accept: Visa, Mastercard & Maestro.
Additional drivers = £ 12.50 / € 15 per driver, per day, max charge 15 nights. (same charge whether UK or foreign licence, for both UK and Europe travel)
Maximum 2 additional drivers. All drivers must be present on collection of the motorhome. All drivers from outside the EU or Commonwealth must have an international driving permit alongside original licence.
All drivers are subject to insurance approval.
The driving licence and an identity card or passport are required to be shown by all
drivers at the time of pick-up and all hirers wishing to drive the motorhome need
to be present at the time of collection. If no suitable driving licence and identity
documentation are shown at the time of pick-up, Bunk Campers may withdraw
from the rental agreement at the guest’s cost.

Collection:
Please allow 1 hour for the hand-over at the depot to complete the documentation and demonstrate your vehicle to you. All drivers need to be present on collection of the motorhome and bring their full valid licence and passport and credit or debit card for security deposit. Please see here for further details.
Note: Bunk Campers will make every effort to have your motorhome ready for the collection time you have selected however Bunk Campers cannot guarantee that your vehicle will be ready for this time. Should this be the case no refunds will be due to you, there will be no extension of your hire, and the motorhome will still be required to be returned in accordance with the details set out below.
Return:
The vehicle must be returned on the correct date, and before the time stated on the rental agreement - please allow 1 hour for the hand-over at the depot. Vehicles must be returned undamaged, with a
full tank of diesel, AdBlue (Ford models only) and gas, empty waste water and toilet cassette and the interior clean and in
the same condition as they left the depot, otherwise a charge will be made for additional Valeting and or Upholstery cleaning.
In addition a separate toilet cleaning fee will apply if the toilet waste tank is not empty on return. Please see here for further details. Please note: there are no toilet emptying facilities at Bunk Campers’s depot so this must be emptied prior to return.
Late Return:
If you will be late returning, Bunk Campers must be advised immediately. Failure to advise may result in prosecution for driving whilst uninsured. An additional charge of £ 100 per hour will be payable for all late returns.
An additional £ 250 / € 300 will be charged if an unauthorised pet has been
carried in the vehicle.
All vehicles can and are insured to be taken on ferries. We recommend guests
make a reservation for at least an 8 metre motorhome (this allows for any addition
of a bike rack), irrespective of the size of the motorhome reserved, to avoid
problems due to possible upgrades.
Public Liability Insurance is included in the nightly rental rate. The public liability
insurance that covers the registered drivers is capped at £ 5 million / € 5 million.
We recommend all guests purchase adequate travel insurance for protection in
the event of cancellation, curtailment, or any other eventuality.
An additional fee of £ 500 / € 600 will be charged if it is found that smoking
